Orthodox Judaism Costs Tooooooooooo Much

The Jerusalem Post article http://www.jpost.com/Magazine/Opinion/Article.aspx?id=203464 comes up with a financial reason why modern orthodox jews don't indulge in artistic activities:

How can a society that crams the classes of law schools and medical schools barely yield a single poet or painter? One explanation must be the prohibitive cost of being religious in America. The price of admission to Orthodox society for a family of four is a combined household income in the top 2%. A couple earning a gross $200,000 barely breaks even after $45,000 in tuitions plus synagogue dues, High Holy Day seats and summer camp – all paid in aftertax dollars. Then there are the added costs of kosher food, Pessah, inflated real estate prices and charity.

The costs of being a religious jew are ridiculous. How can you say that God takes care of you it costs toooooo damn much? Are you sooooooooo desperate for acceptance that you need to shit away your income on yeshivas when there is public schools, on high holy day seats when commerce is prohibited on yom tov ANYWAYS, and on kosher food when regular food is just fine?
Oh and I thought the Old Testament said that God is gonna bless you beyond belief if you give chaaaaaaaaaaaaarity? Yet it is put down here as a cost. What's up with that? Why aren't you like, yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay let's give charity it's an INVESTMENT????????? lol it's easy to believe when you don't gotta put money down on it. And on top of that you have a woman who will divorce you if you eat a cheeseburger.
