The Necessity of God

The problem with non-theistic evolution, as it appears to me, lies within abiogenesis. It would seem that if you have a mixture of amino acids and have them lie there for x amount of time, all you are going to get is a mixture of amino acids. If you have a mixture of amino acids and you apply the heat to them (to try to induce a chemical reaction) all you are going to get is heated up amino acids.

It could be that abiogenesis is outside of the realm of science, because any manmade cell or microorganism is going to be proof of Intelligent Design; not evolution via random mutation.

Now, this is not a young earth argument, the fossil record + carbon dating clearly points to an Old Earth. What I am saying is that it seems that evolution cannot explain away God.

The thing is, all the creation story says is God created this and that. It says nothing about the method.
