Orthodox Bullshit

Garnel (garnelironheart.blogspot.com) wrote in his blog masthead that, "This blog is for those who wish to remember that Judaism is a religious nationality that achieves perfection through the rational and passionate observance of God's Law. If you are the type who was promised by secular/atheist academics that Judaism has no answers to your difficult questions, ..... there are other places you could be."

Orthodox Judaism can answer questions? Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. What orthodox judaism does is discourage questions and shun them if not then for sure shuns outright dissent.

Orthodox Judaism can't answer shit.

I'll take the other place, something we call, a free society.

Now, now, SJ. Garnel has a cognitive dissonance problem, true, but a lot of people have it now thank to the Chereidi-instigated civil war. Garnel wants to teach and practice modern orthodoxy - but as soon as you come out against Chereidi stringencies, you are immediately considered "not Jewish" by the in-crowd. The difference between me and Garnel is he still wants to have his cake and eat it, too. He wants to say he's for modern orthodoxy yet be accepted by the in-crowd. In other words, he wants the impossible - hence the cognitive dissonance.

Oh Ahavah, do pay attention:

It's spelled ChAreidi - there's a patach under the ches.

And I'm not Chareidi. Nor am I Modern Orthodox.

Finally, exactly which in-crowd am I aiming to be accepted by?

Garnel, it's shabbat, not shabbos.

it's chasuna not chasana.

Depends on your accent. In Ashkenazi, the kamatz is "o" and the tav without a dagesh is a "s".

> it's chasuna not chasana

Actually, if you're going with the Israeli accent, it's chatunah, not chasuna. No one says chasana.

it's not accent it's either the vowels say it or it don't.
