You cannot announce that the government will insure people without plans and not expect that various employers will then drop their private plans in response to save money. Obama did this completely wrong. He should have dropped the age for old age healthcare to 60 and raised the income ceiling for welfare health care bu $10000. Then in his second term he could do the same thing and slowly, slowly over a few terms the whole country would be insured. But if he did it that way it might be a Republican that gets credit for the final nail.
