What's worse: up here in Canada we did not have the same economic crisis the US had. Our lending rules are a lot more conservative, we didn't give mortgages to people with no income, etc. Yet we still had a stimulus. Why? Because the Liberals told the governing Conservatives that we needed it otherwise we'd end up like the US. So it's not like we even needed a stimulus and got one we now have to pay for.
