Yom Kippur is on its way.

Everyone's favorite holiday Yom Kippur is on its way, where you get the wonderful opportunity of fasting for absolutely NOTHING.

In theory it's a holiday of forgiveness and in reality it is a holiday of (religious) friends asking for "forgiveness" and "forgiving" other (religious) friends to whom there was no wrongdoin; without an iota of intellectual honesty of asking for forgiveness from someone who someone was actually wrong to.

Of course, intellectual honesty is too much to ask from someone who is a believer in orthodox judaism especially.

All in all, absolutely nothing is guaranteed to you for going through this bull shit that is called, Yom Kippur. So why bother? O.o

It's more realistic to cut back on materialism and gluttony on YK, rather than to literally starve and dehydrate yourself.
