Day of Rest

Nothing so profound today.

Check out this touching tribute to the Enterprise-D. A commenter on the YouTube page wrote rest in peace Enterprise-D. I say Amen.

Good riddance. I still say the E was far superior to the Love Boat D and the A is still the best of all the models, including the new one.

'Scuse me? Take a picture of Captain Stubing and a picture of Captain Picard, put 'em side by side, and voila!

Besides, families with kids on board? A holodeck where you could have any fantasy (and people weren't lined up 3 deep around the saucer section!)? A bar for the offiers? Come on!

By the way, although I was thrilled that Kirk and Picard met in Generations and that it was finally established that Kirk was tougher, it was easily the weakest of the movies because of the huge plot hole: Picard's in the nexus and can go anywhere and anywhen he wants. So does he chose to go back to when he first meets Soron in 10-Forward and throw him in the brig right then and there? Or a few minutes earlier and just refuse to rescue him from the space station he was trapped on? No, he goes back to where he's stuck outside the forcefield and the star is about to explode.
Moron.
