Ultraorthodox Jihad On Good Music

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/7609859.stm is the BBC article on the issue.

Now here is a version of Twisted Sister's song We're not gonna take it, sung by the Veronicas. I put it here to give halachat kol eisha the middle finger.

Run from orthodox judaism as far as you can. There is a better way, one in which you can do what you want without seeking the approval of a hundred nosey rabbis.

nice assumption, of course you miss the fact that I can and do talk to girls on a regular basis. Does it shock you to know i go to a (gasp) secular college too?

It's not only the ultra orthodox that think you suck

The Sea

(1)

The Sea! the Sea! the open Sea!

The blue, the fresh, the ever free!

Without a mark, without a bound,

It runneth the earth's wide regions 'round;

It plays with the clouds; it mocks the skies;

Or like a cradled creature lies.
(2)

I'm on the Sea! I'm on the Sea!

I am where I would ever be;

With the blue above, and the blue below,

And silence wheresoe'er I go;

If a storm should come and awake the deep,

What matter? I shall ride and sleep.

(3)

I love (oh! how I love) to ride

On the fierce foaming bursting tide,

When every mad wave drowns the moon,

Or whistles aloft his tempest tune,

And tells how goes the world below,

And why the south-west blasts do blow.
(4)

I never was on the dull tame shore

but I lov'd the great Sea more and more,

And backwards flew to her billowy breast,

Like a bird that seeketh its mother's nest;

And mother she was, and is to me;

For I was born on the open Sea!
